The Background of EVI Well-Being Measurement
How is the survey structured, weighted, and anonymized?
Well-Being Score
The 15 questions included in the EVI survey have been selected based on international meta-studies that have investigated which questions are most closely related to well-being. The well-being score is therefore calculated as an average of these 15 questions.
Some companies have more questions.
Stress risk indication
We have conducted a research in which we asked approximately 1000 individuals to answer the 15 questions in EVI and to asnwer the internationally recognized stress measurement: The Perceived Stress Scale 10 (PSS10).
We then compared their answers on both surveys and mapped how each individual question is related to the risk of stress. Following this comparision and throughrough research, we developed an algorthym that weighs each of the 15 questions differently. Therefore, the stress risk calculation is different than the overall well-being score.
The four cateogires and colors in the report provides an overview of the dristribution of your employees' stress risk. The four categories and colors are: low risk (dark green), medium risk (light green), increased risk (yellow), or high (red) risk of stress. Unanswered (blue) is included to provide the best possible overview.
Anonymity
We have ensured that the survey complies with GDPR. When employees receive the survey, they also receive a description of this. Likewise, they can see how they can access or delete their own data.
In addition, the employee who answers a well-being survey has access to their own (current and previous) responses in the system. These data are stored behind a login and cannot be accessed by others.
Their answer on the survey is anonymous to you and to AS3. As a leader, it is therefore crucial not to inquire about individual respondes to ensure anonymity in practice.
